The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has lauded the Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi Audu Sule, for his timely intervention in securing the reinstatement of rusticated students of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK).

In a statement released on Wednesday in Abuja, the national leadership of NANS expressed deep appreciation for the governor’s “wise and compassionate” decision.

The statement was jointly signed by the NANS National President, Comrade Olushola Ladoja, and the National Secretary General, Comrade Anzaku Shedrack Ovey.

According to NANS, Governor Sule made the appeal during the recently concluded 4th Stakeholders’ Meeting of Nasarawa State University, which also coincided with the one-year anniversary of Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman as Vice-Chancellor.

The student body described the governor’s action as a significant step towards promoting peace and inclusiveness within the academic community.

They also urged university administrators across the country to emulate such leadership by fostering dialogue and prioritizing students’ welfare.

“This gesture by His Excellency not only strengthens the trust between students and the government but also reinforces the importance of second chances in academic environments,”; the statement read.
