The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of Dr. Kassim Muhammad Kassim, popularly known as KMK, as the new Chairman of the Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB).

Kassim, a former lawmaker in the Assembly, was confirmed alongside three other board members: Allahnana Attah (Member I), Hajiya Fatima Shuaibu Ahmed (Member II), and Jibrin Egwa Nagambo, also known as Ogaji (Member III).

Speaker Danladi Jatau announced the confirmation on Monday following the successful screening of the nominees at the Assembly complex in Lafia.

In a separate announcement, the Speaker also confirmed Mustapha Abdullahi Aliyu as Chairman of the Nasarawa State Local Government Service Commission.

Two new members of the commission —Zachariah Steven Bariki and Umar Namama Laminga — were also confirmed.

The appointments are part of ongoing efforts by the Nasarawa State Government to strengthen key institutions and improve public service delivery across the state.
