NLO bans 44 players from 2025 season

Published on April 22, 2025 at 06:10 PM

The Nationwide League One, NLO, has restricted 44 players from participating in the 2025 season.

The players were confirmed as ineligible by the league’s medical team.

NLO announced in a statement on Tuesday.

The league body urged the affected clubs to make adjustments to their squads following this development.

The statement read: “Following the comprehensive medical examination conducted across all states by the appointed NLO Medical Team, it has been confirmed that the affected players are ineligible to participate in the upcoming league season.

“This decision is based strictly on medical grounds as outlined in the official report submitted by the NLO doctors.

“The health and safety of every player remain a top priority for the Nationwide League One (NLO), and we fully support the league’s commitment to ensuring only medically fit players are cleared for competition.

“We advise all concerned clubs to take this matter seriously and make the necessary adjustments to their squad lists in line with the league’s medical compliance requirements.”
