Sporting Lagos have strengthened their squad with the addition of eight new players ahead of the second stanza of the Nigeria National League, NNL, season.

The newly signed players are Babatunde Akomolede, Adebayo Aliu, Gavi Thompson, Joseph Nanjul, Aondona Adeede, Saheed Abolade, Aliyu Baba and Akinola Damilola.

The modest club announced the players' arrival in a press release on Friday.

Sporting Lagos expressed optimism in the newly recruited players toward their push for a Championship playoff spot at the end of the season.

Sporting Lagos occupy fifth position with 14 points from 10 games.

They will be up against Rovers FC in their opening fixture of the second.
