NPFL: Rivers United won’t relent in title pursuit – Finidi

Published on April 22, 2025 at 07:05 AM

Rivers United head coach, Finidi George insists his side won't give up on their pursuit of a second Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, title.

The Port Harcourt club are currently locked in a title fight with leaders, Remo Stars.

Rivers United, who occupy second position on the log, trail Remo Stars by seven points.

With four games remaining before the end of the campaign, Finidi is confident his side can usurp Remo Stars at the top of the table.

“Four games, that is 12 points, we still have two home matches. We are trying to pile pressure on Remo, we will not relent, and we will see how we can go away and get something out of the Kano Pillars game,”; Finidi told reporters.

“You can see that on my face, I’m always positive.”;
