Osun Police Command appoints new PPRO

Osun State Police Command has appointed a new Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi Zechariah.

In a statement by the outgoing PPRO, Adeoye Akeem Adeola, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Umar Abba on Wednesday, the new spokesperson has officially resumed duty.

The statement also stated that he is replacing the acting PPRO, SP Adeoye Akeem Adeola, who has been transferred to the Ondo State Police Command.

The statement reads, “DSP Zechariah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the Nigeria Police Academy. He was appointed into the Nigeria Police Force in 2018 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and was a member of the Regular Course 1 at the Police Academy (POLAC).

“Before his posting to Osun State, DSP Zechariah served as a Unit Commander at the 4 PMF in Ibadan. His appointment aims to enhance the communication and public relations strategies of the command.
