THERE is nothing worse than green algae making our outdoor areas unsightly, but there's a cheap trick to make them look sparkling new again.

The cleaning genius shared their tip in the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips online forum.

“You’d need a lot of it but Pink Paste,”; suggested the cleaning whizz in reply to a desperate plea on how to clean their roof on a budget.

Rather than applying and scrubbing it away, the Facebook user urged the anonymous poster to use a pressure washer for extra cleaning power.

Whilst it may seem too good to be true, the experts at Discover Paving have revealed just how effect a tool it can be for banishing garden grime.

In fact, all you’ll need to overhaul your patio is a tub of The Pink Stuff, a bucket, a brush and warm water.

Following the manufacturer’s instructions, you’ll need to mix the cleaning paste and then apply a thin layer to your patio.

Gently scrub it with a long handled stiff brush and you should find that any built up grime comes away easily – especially if you apply firm pressure.

Once you’ve got most of the dirt off, you can then hose down your patio or wash it away with warm water (it really is that simple).

You won’t even have to worry about drying the space, as the experts suggest allowing it air dry over the next few hours.

This technique could save you a small fortune as Sainsburys are currently selling an 850g tub of The Pink Stuff for just £1.50.

The Pink Stuff is a popular multi-purpose cleaning paste made by Stardrops, which is sold in a number of stores.

It’s a thick, mildly abrasive cleaner known for tackling tough stains, grease, grime, and dirt on a variety of surfaces.

Some of the uses include cleaning ovens, shoes and garden furniture.

It has gained a cult following due to its effectiveness and viral success on social media, especially for .
