A police inspector, identified as Inspector Andrawus Musa, was killed during an ambush by suspected Boko Haram insurgents at the Police Mobile Force Training College (PMFTC) Camp Limankara in Gwoza, Borno State.

The incident was revealed by counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama on his X handle. He revealed the attack occurred at approximately 6:00 a.m. on April 3, 2025, as a team of officers from the Mopol Training School Gwoza and various Mobile Police Force units conducted a routine foot patrol.

According to Makama, Musa, who was attached to the 6PMF Maiduguri, sustained fatal injuries during the ambush. His service rifle, an AK-47, was reportedly taken by the attackers.

Musa was promptly evacuated to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH), where medical personnel confirmed his death upon arrival. His body has been deposited at the hospital for autopsy.
