Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday condemned the dastardly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, India.
“This brutal crime has no justification whatsoever. We expect that its organisers and perpetrators will face a deserved punishment,” Putin's message read.
“Please convey words of sincere sympathy and support to the near and dear ones of the deceased, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery of all injured.”
Similarly, the Embassy of Ukraine in India also condemned the terror attack.
In a statement, the embassy said Ukraine stands firmly against all forms of terrorism.
“Ukraine is deeply concerned over the attack on tourists at Pahalgam, J&K. We endure the loss of life from terrorism daily and firmly condemn terrorism in all its forms. When innocent people are murdered, it brings unbearable pain. The perpetrators should be held accountable.”
Recall that terrorists opened fire at a famed meadow near Kashmir’s Pahalgam town on Tuesday afternoon.
The terrorists killed 26 people, mostly tourists. This is the first terror attack on tourists in 2025.
The last time terrorists attacked tourists was in May 2024, when two tourists were injured in Pahalgam.
