Former Rangers striker, Ally McCoist has named Declan Rice as the best player by stretch over the two legs of Arsenal's UEFA Champions League quarter-final fixtures with Real Madrid.
Rice was named man of the match in the two legs of the Champions League quarter-final fixtures between Arsenal and Real Madrid.
The England international scored a brace in the first leg at Emirates Stadium last week as Arsenal won 3-0.
The 26-year-old was impressive at the Santiago Bernabeu as goals from Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli gave the Gunners a 2-1 win against Madrid on Wednesday.
Speaking on TNT Sports, McCoist said Rice was magnificent in both legs.
“Declan Rice… he was monumental,” McCoist said. “He was the best player over the two games by some stretch.
“The two goals he scored last week were nothing short of outrageous, absolutely outrageous set plays, but the level of his performance tonight was quite magnificent.”
Rice will hope to continue his impressive display for Mikel Arteta's side when they face Ipswich Town in the Premier have on Sunday.
