RONNIE O'SULLIVAN has confirmed he will be returning to the baize to play in at the World Snooker Championship.

However the seven-time world champion snubbed last night's inaugural Champions Dinner in Sheffield.

O'Sullivan, 49, turned down the opportunity to attend the first ever Champions Dinner that saw reigning champ choose a menu to engorge alongside a host of other former winners.

The event, which is very , is thought to have seen 12 players accept invites – including Wilson, and Steve Davis.

Despite O'Sullivan turning down the chance to join his counterparts at the dinner table, The Rocket will walk the green carpet outside the Sheffield Theatre today before the pre-Worlds media day.
