Russia launches 139 drones, ballistic missile overnight – Ukraine

Published on March 25, 2025 at 12:34 PM

Ukraine on Tuesday said that Russia launched 139 drones and an Iskander-M ballistic missile during an overnight attack.

The Ukrainian air force, in a statement on Telegram, said it shot down 78 drones and noted that 34 more did not reach their targets.

However, the air force did not specify what happened to the remaining 27 drones or the missile.

This comes as Russian and U.S. officials met in Saudi Arabia to discuss a possible ceasefire.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia was the only entity prolonging the war and tormenting both its people and the entire world.

“To force Russia into peace, strong measures and decisive actions are needed. We are ready to support every strong initiative that makes diplomacy more effective,” he said.
