Serving Met cop charged with rape and sexual assault after probe into ‘off-duty conduct’

A SERVING Met police officer has been charged with rape.

PC Dion Arnold faces four counts of rape, two counts of assault by penetration and one count of sexual assault on March 31, following an investigation by Surrey Police.

He appeared at Guildford Magistrates' Court and was remanded in custody to next appear at Guildford Crown Court on May 1.

The charges relate to Arnold's alleged conduct while off duty, the force said.

The Met's Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed and the officer has been suspended from duty, it added.

It's statement said: The Met said: “The charges relate to a report made earlier this year, and conduct while PC Dion Arnold was off duty.

“The Met's Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed.

“PC Dion Arnold is currently suspended from duty.”
