tvN's “Second Shot at Love” has delved into the diverse relationships between the drama's characters!
“Second Shot at Love”; is a rom-com that follows Han Geum Ju (Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung), a self-proclaimed “reasonable drinker”; who unexpectedly reunites with her first love Seo Ui Jun (Gong Myoung)âa man who despises alcoholâand decides to take on the challenge of quitting drinking.
Ahead of the drama's premiere, “Second Shot at Love” unveiled a character relationship chart featuring the characters of Bocheon Village.
First, the Bocheon Health Center features unique individuals including Baek Hye Mi (Bae Hae Sun), a former head nurse from a famous hospital in Seoul who followed Seo Ui Jun to Bocheon, and Young Rong (Lee Tae Yul), a physical therapist who became a follower of Han Geum Ju after being unable to forget the help she received during her school days.
Han Geum Ju and Seo Ui Jun's longtime friends Bong Sun Ok (Kang Hyung Suk) and Lee Young Woong (Park Gang Sub) are shown to like Han Geum Ju's older sister Han Hyun Ju (Jo Yoon Hee) and Bong Sun Ok's older sister Bong Sun Hwa (Kim Bo Jung), respectively, raising anticipation for how they will showcase their love. Bong Sun Ok will boldly express his affection for Han Hyun Ju, while Lee Young Woong will make viewers' hearts flutter with the way he only has eyes for Bong Sun Hwa.
Bocheon Village also features Ki Bum's father (Lee Joong Ok) and mother (Kim Hyun Sook), who run a charcoal-grilled ribs restaurant and make the neighborhood noisy with their constant playful bickering with Han Jung Soo (Kim Sang Ho) and Kim Kwang Ok (Kim Sung Ryung). Meanwhile, Young Woong's father (Son Sang Gyu) and mother (Joo In Young) maintain the peace with their offering of drinks. There is also the Chinese restaurant owner (Kim Jung Hyun) and fried chicken restaurant owner (Ha Eun Sum).
“Second Shot at Love” also features a talented lineup of young child actors. Han Hyun Ju's twin sons Woo Ri (Park Do Jun) and Na Ra (Lee Shi Jun) will showcase great energy, while Lee Young Woong's daughter Hwa Young (Kim Min Chae) will captivate as the town's cutie pie, breathing life into the village.
The poster further highlights Han Geum Ju's co-worker and close friend Choi Mi Yeon (Yeom Seung Yi), her ex-boyfriend Kim Joo Yup (Yoo Eui Tae), and her boss Kim Soo Seok (Jeon Jin Oh), adding even more interesting dynamics to Han Geum Ju's relationships.
The production team shared, “The people of Bocheon Village are living, breathing elements that create the story's flow together. As each character's story develops, viewers will experience even greater warmth and empathy.”
“Second Shot at Love” will premiere on May 12 at 8:50 p.m. KST.
