THE BBC has confiscated phones from the Celebrity Traitors â with security watching over the stars.
The contestants, including , Celia Imrie and Kate Garraway, are being kept apart in the hotel they are holed up in ahead of filming.



A source told The Sun they are not getting any special treatment.
They are allowed to use a communal phone to contact home â accompanied by a chaperone.
An insider said: “The BBC aren’t taking any chances with the contestants â even though they’re household names. They are all holed up in a hotel together but they are being kept apart with a security guard on their floor at all times to make sure they’re not swapping tactics or talking.
“In the normal series of The Traitors, the contestants’ phones are removed and there have been no special measures put in place for the celebs.
“Some of them moaned about not having their phones but the BBC need to be sure they’re not messaging or communicating on social media â so it’s a total ban. Instead the BBC have a production phone for the celebs which they can use to make a phone call home, but a member of staff is never far behind.
“The BBC want this series to be as explosive as ever, so they won’t allow any collusion.”;
TV funnyman , celebrity brainbox Fry, Olympic diver and singer have been photographed in Inverness as they prepare to start filming.
Host touched down in earlier this week, with the stars heading to to begin the game in the coming days.
actor , pop star , talk show host and sports presenter have also signed up to the show.
In total 19 celebrities will take part in the series, which is expected to be shown in October.
has been a runaway ratings hit for the BBC, with an average of 5.4 million people watching the first series in 2022.
On the celebrity version, the contestants will navigate their way through a series of challenges â while also trying to work out who is a Traitor among the Faithfuls.
The winner is either the Traitor who remains undetected or the Faithful if they eliminate opponents.
