Sainsbury’s Tesco, Aldi and other major supermarkets provide update on opening hours over Easter

MAJOR supermarkets including Aldi and Tesco have provided an update on their opening hours over the Easter Bank Holiday.

Grocers always tend to close larger stores during major , such as New Year's Day, Day, and Easter.

The day off is part of which state that shops in and larger than 280 square metres have to close on Easter Sunday and Christmas Day.

However, brands which have smaller express stores, such asandmay have chosen to keep these stores open.

But with Easter Sunday now over, many might be planning a trip to their supermarket to stock up on essentials.

A handy trick to find out if a shop you are planning to visit is open is by visiting the “store locator” section of your chosen retailer's website page.

Here's a list of all the major supermarkets opening this Easter Monday.

ALDI

They have since reopened on Easter Monday, but will operate on reduced hours from 8am to 8pm.

ASDA

Asda stores have reopened today with most operating between 8am and 10pm.

The majority of its larger stores were closed yesterday on Easter Sunday.

Its smaller Express stores will open at 7am and close at 10pm today.

LIDL

Branches in and were closed Easter Sunday but will reopen on Easter Monday.

Trading hours for Monday, April 21, should be from 8am to 8pm.

Morrisons

has previously confirmed that opening hours will vary across its stores in England, , and Wales.

Customers looking to check the hours for a specific branch are encouraged to use the supermarket's online store locator for the most accurate information.

Morrisons stores were closed Easter Sunday, but will be open from7am-8pmon Easter Monday.

Sainsbury's

For Easter Monday, most of s larger stores will open with reduced hours, from 8am to 8pm.

Meanwhile, local stores will once again operate their standard hours of 7am to 10pm.

Tesco

For Easter Monday, opening hours will vary by location, with many larger stores operating reduced hours and closing at 8pm.

Tesco Express stores, however, will open as normal.
