Suspended Rivers State governor, Sim Fubara, has urged the people of the state to support President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.
Fubara made the call in his Easter message which he personally signed.
He said Easter was a sacred season of reconciliation and unity.
The suspended governor noted that the Easter season is a period that peace will overcome war.
He said: “It is a time to reaffirm our shared belief that peace shall overcome war, and that even shattered dreams can find new life in the light of the resurrection.
“Therefore, I call on the good people of Rivers State to continue to support and align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of our dear President, His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, while looking forward to a better tomorrow.”
Fubara's call comes about 24 hours after the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike
Wike, however, disclosed that Tinubu's intervention by declaring a state of emergency saved Rivers State from calamity.
Addressing journalists, he also stressing that he must genuinely ask for forgiveness.
Wike and Fubara have been against each other since the governor assumed office in 2023.
