Published on March 24, 2025 at 09:15 AM

The Taraba State Police Command is in mourning mood following the passing of its Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Usman Abdullahi, who died in the early hours of Sunday at his residence in Jalingo, the state capital.
Abdullahi, who served as the command’s spokesperson for the past years, has been undergoing medical treatment before his sudden demise.

Confirming his demised, his second-in-command, Gambo Kwache, said he was alerted to the tragedy.

A close friend of the deceased, Ahmed Manga, also confirmed the loss, stating that Abdullahi felt critically ill the night before his passage.

Despite efforts to transport him to the Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Jalingo, he passed away before arrival and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

The late PPRO has since been laid to rest according to the Muslim rites.
