ONE contestant of Tempting Fortune was absolutely livid at her co-star who dramatically quit the show.

She slammed the fellow competitor as ‘lazy' as the group lost out on thousands of pounds on the hit Channel 4 show.

Tempting Fortune is hosted by Paddy McGuinness and it tests the willpower of a group of 12 fortune hunters.

They have to endure a long and arduous trek across the rainforest in Langkawi, Malaysia with only the most basic of survival gear.

If they reach the finish line, they will win a jackpot prize of up to £300,000.

However, along the way they can choose to spend some of the pot for luxuries such as beds, meals and snacks at extortionate prices.

Despite spending various amounts of money on treats throughout her time, one contestant chose to leave the show midway through.

Greetings car entrepreneur Vicki, 37, decided at the beginning of tonight's instalment that she was going to quit the process.

She admitted that she was “scared of spending other people's money” to take more temptations.

This was after the group watched as Martha and Tomazsa enjoyed a luxury bed and breakfast at the pink hotel at the cost of £2,000.

Explaining her decision to the group, Vicki remarked: “I'm going home!

“I'd have loved to have been there last night but I can't justify £2,000 of other people's money.”

She added: “If it was my money I'd have been with you. I can't spend other people's money it doesn't.”

“If I was to stay I know I'd have to spend other people's money which means I'm not able to be myself. You know what sometimes you need to admit defeat!”

The group had already taken £41,250 out of their £300,000 prize pot before her exit.

However, Paddy explained that during her eight days of filming, Vicki had spent a whopping £4,050 on temptations.

Her departure would cost the group £34,050 due to the £25,000 leaving fee for contestants.

If a star chooses to depart the show that is not on medical grounds, this would cost them an additional penalty of £5,000.

Although most of the contestants were supportive, one member of the group was not as generous with her words.

Former restaurateur Sam slammed the star after her exit from the campsite.

She fumed: “Well, the prize pot is f***** isn't it?

“I've never known anyone to whine and moan as much as Vicki. She's lazy and has got no willpower.”

Sam sarcastically added: “I hope she's happy.”
