ONE of the UK's best theme parks has re-opened a much loved ride just months after it shut.
Paultons Park‘s log flume ride “Splash Lagoon” will be ready to enjoy once again this summer, coinciding with the park's unveiling of an on-site resort.
Paultons Park – home to the famous Peppa Pig land – has won a number of awards including being the best theme park for kids and families last year.
The popular water ride launched in 2024 and has been described as a “jurassic water boat adventure for junior thrill-seekers”.
Visitors can find the ride in the Lost Kingdom area, which is filled with a number of other family-friendly activities.
Riders will be guided through a series of rapids before experiencing an “exciting drop” at the end of the journey.
A Facebook post from the park said: “Explore uncharted waters with lots of dinosaurs to spot on your Jurassic adventure.
“Don’t miss out on the perfect way to beat the heat, Splash Lagoon awaits you.”
This comes as plans were revealed that Paultons will be opening a string of lodges this summer.
Paultons Park is the one of the only major theme parks in the UK to not have any on-site accommodation.
The new plans revealed by the theme park suggest as many as 95 lodges, sleeping up to 700 guests, will open.
The village would be “Scandinavian” style, local media reports, which is often natural woods and large windows.
Lodges, a restaurant and small shop would be on-site, as well as an entertainment and games room near the main reception area.
Some of the current car park would be revamped for holiday village guests only.
The park said it is “essential” to build the holiday resort, after a number of other theme parks have since increased their overnight stay options.
James Mancey, deputy managing director at Paultons Park said: “We are in the very early stages of developing a vision for accommodation at Paultons Park.
“We are committed to continually reinvesting into our attraction, providing a world-class experience for our guests, and planning for the long-term.
“In the immediacy, we already have extensive and very exciting expansion projects underway and the current works on site remain our priority.”;
Expected prices ofthe holidaylodges is yet to be confirmed, as well as designs of what they could look like.
The theme parkis also opening a new ride this summer.
Replacing the previous 4D cinema, the indoor Ghostly Manor ride will open on May 17.
And anew Viking themed landis set to open at the parknextyear, although little else is known about it.
