Transfer: Balogun set for Rangers exit

Published on April 22, 2025 at 08:20 AM

Leon Balogun is likely to leave Scottish Premiership giants, Rangers at the end of the season.

Balogun's current contract will expire at the end of the season.

The former Nigeria international has expressed his desire to stay with the club beyond this season.

His wish may not been granted as Rangers are not willing to offer him a new contract, according Football Insider.

Balogun has enjoyed two different stints with the Light Blues.

The 36-year-old initially linked up with the Gers in 2020, and left after two years.

The centre-back returned to the club in 2023, and signed a one-year contract extension last summer.

Balogun has made 23 appearances across all competitions for the Light Blues this season.
