President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has revealed details of a telephone discussion with the Prime Minister of Israel, Bibi Netanyahu.
He disclosed this in a statement on his Truth Social on Wednesday.
Giving details on the discussion, Trump said he and Netanyahu discussed several issues, including trade and Iran.
According to him, the discussion went on very well, and they are both on the same page on every issue.
“I've just spoken to the prime minister of Israel, Bibi Netanyahu, relative to numerous subjects, including trade, Iran, etc. The call went very well, we are on the same side of every issue,” he posted in a message also shared on his X account Wednesday.
The call between the two leaders came amid deadlocks in ceasefire talks over the Israel and Hamas conflict in Gaza, the issue of 59 hostages still held by Hamas.
Recall that last week, the New York Times reported that Trump blocked an Israeli plan for a series of joint strikes next month on Iranian nuclear facilities. The strike would jeopardise a possible US-Iran nuclear agreement.
The telephone conversation between Trump and Netanyahu marks the first after the Israeli prime minister's visit to the White House two weeks ago.
