President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced Turkey's desire for further and comprehensive development of relations with Russia.

The Turkish leader made the declaration on Friday at the official opening ceremony of the 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

Erdogan, quoted by TASS News Agency, said Turkey is a country whose foreign policy is guided by principles and not by hidden intentions.

“We have fully developed relations with Russia. We are determined to develop them further,” the president stated.

Erdogan also disclosed that he has been discussing the Syrian issue with President Vladimir Putin and former U.S. President Donald Trump.

“We have mutual understanding and dialogue with the esteemed Trump and Putin on the issue of Syria's territorial integrity,” he revealed.

The Antalya Diplomacy Forum evaluates the problems of the multilateral order and fosters dialogue on reclaiming diplomacy in a rapidly evolving international environment.

The theme for 2025, “Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World,”; reflects the urgent need for diplomacy as a stabilizing force amid global divisions.
