A TV star has insisted that her son isn’t a nepo baby, despite him landing a huge US role, and having a Hollywood A-list star dad.
is going to be starring in a new MGM+ show called The Institute, which is an adaptation of Stephen King’s novel.

The 19-year-old’s mum has had a career spanning three decades, making her debut on screen in 1993 when she appeared in TV police drama The Bill.
She also starred on Strictly Come Dancing not too long ago, and her acting credits include the likes of Doc Martin, Casualty, Teachers, The Sins, and many more.
And the teenager’s dad is also a big name in the acting industry.
The Hampshire native for his high-profile roles.
He first shot to prominence when he played Tim Canterbury in the BBC's smash-hit comedy The Office in 2001, and also starred in Love Actually, as film stand-in John who had a racy porn scene with Judy (Joanna Page).
The dad-of-two also starred in Fargo, The Hobbit, played Dr. John Watson in Sherlock and recently created and starred in Sky series Breeders.
And his raft of credits have earned him two Emmys, a BAFTA, as well as being nominated for a Golden Globe Award.
It’s none other than Martin Freeman and Amanda Abbington, whose son is clearly following in their acting footsteps.
But Amanda has insisted that their son Joe isn’t a nepo baby.
The actress told the Mail of her son’s acting gig: “He's just done a massive Stephen King show called The Institute, which comes out next year.
“He spent four months in Canada playing the lead in that. He got it all on his own, without anyone's help – there was no nepotism there, which was good. None at all.”;
It’s not the youngster’s first foray into the acting world.
He once starred in Everybody's Talking About Jamie in Tunbridge Wells and has starred in Doctors too, as well as a Paul Weller music video.



Despite Amanda insisting that Joe isn’t a ‘nepo baby,’ the profile on his agent’s website details his success.
It reads: “Growing up with well known acting parents, Martin Freeman and Amanda Abbington, Joe has spent much of his life backstage or on a studio set,' Scott Cole management declares.
“He has inherited the natural and engaging talents of both his parents and is well versed in dealing with the publicity that has followed his family.”;
Martin and Amanda – who also share daughter Grace, 16 – got together in 2000 and split in 2016.
He has since found love with his French actress girlfriend Rachel Benaissa.
