UCL: Their manager needs big trophy – Gary Neville predicts team to win competition

Published on April 24, 2025 at 04:25 PM

Manchester United legend, Gary Neville has backed Arsenal to win the UEFA Champions League this season.

According to Neville, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta needs a big trophy this season.

Arsenal are in the Champions League semi-final stage and will face Paris Saint-Germain next week.

The Gunners had eliminated Champions League holders Real Madrid from the competition.

“I would not mind seeing Arsenal win it at all,” Neville said on the Stick to Football podcast.

“I’d want them to win it. I want Arsenal to win it for Arteta really.

“I think being there five years, he needs that big trophy. He needs a trophy,” the Englishman said.

Arsenal have never won the Champions League in their history.

They came close to winning the Champions League in 2006 but were defeated by Barcelona in the final.
