UCL: They’re a different team – Arteta speaks on Arsenal facing PSG in semi-final

Published on April 17, 2025 at 05:31 AM

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has said Paris Saint-Germain will be a different side to the one they beat 2-0 earlier in the Champions League.

The Gunners eliminated Real Madrid on Wednesday night and will not face the Ligue 1 champions in the semi-finals.

Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka scored for Arsenal as they dispatched PSG at the Emirates during the league phase.

But Arteta is wary of the French team, who have eliminated two Premier League sides – Liverpool and Aston Villa.

“I watched the game (against Villa) last night. Crazy game. Anything can happen in this competition. They are an incredible team. I know the manager really well. Let's enjoy tonight and think about that one soon.

“We have experience against them but they are a different team now. They're on a incredible run. But we showed tonight we can compete against anyone.

“We want to be in that final. We'll have to work so hard but we are capable of doing it,” Arteta said.
