AN URGENT recall has been issued over jam, chutneys and pesto jars in the UK.
The products pose a “ risk” for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to the undisclosed ingredients.

Anglesey Foods Ltd is recalling various Jams, Chutneys and Pesto due containing undisclosed barley and/or sulphites.
Shoppers who bought the affected products and have an allergy to barley
Instead, they should to the store it was bought for a full refund.
Anglesey Foods has contacted the relevant organisations and issued a point-of-sale notice to customers.
The Food Standards Agency said: “These products contain barley (gluten) and/or sulphites making them a for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to barley or gluten, or with coeliac disease, and/or a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide or sulphites.”
The affected items are as follows:
- Sundried Tomato Pesto: 160g. Best before: 08 January 2025, 19 July 2025, 09 August 2025, 27 August 2025, 15 October 2025.
- Cowboy Chutney: 174g. Best before: 10 January 2025, 10 August 2025, 17 August 2025, 02 October 2025, 19 November 2025.
- Mango Chilli Chutney: 174g. Best before: 25 April 2025, 05 May 2025, 29 July 2025, 02 August 2025, 06 August 2025, 23 August 2025, 07 October 2025, 18 November 2025, 19 December 2025.
- Hot Chilli Jam: 174g. Best before: 06 February 2025, 12 February 2025, 03 May 2025, 29 July 2025, 04 August 2025, 02 September 2025, 06 September 2025, 04 October 2025, 30 November 2025.
