Korean BL “Something's Not Right” is about Ba Woo (Choi Min Ho), a college guy who desperately wants to get over his longtime crush on his childhood friend, Jee Hoon (Jeong Je Hyeon), but he just can't get away from him. After another student (sort of) discovers his crush, Ba Woo finds a possible solution to his unrequited love, but it doesn't go quite as planned.
If you loved “Boys Be Brave!” and are looking for another secret-crush-on-my-friend storyline in a college setting, this might be for you.

1. An unserious take on the unrequited love story
This unrequited love story is going to be loads of fun, partly because the drama itself seems to know how silly unrequited love can be. In fact, it starts with a funny little misunderstanding.
This said misunderstanding happens when a (slightly) self-absorbed student named Jeong Ha Min (Ji Min Seo) accidentally finds Ba Woo's diary, which chronicles his unrequited love for Jee Hoon. Ba Woo should really think about getting an AirTag, but either way.
As it so happens, Ha Min is an illustrator looking for a story on unrequited love to enter a webtoon contest. He cannot write the story himself because everyone likes him, and he therefore does not understand unrequited love. His words.
Finding Ba Woo's diary, which he thinks is just a fiction story, Ha Min wants Ba Woo to be the writer of his webtoon. But Ba Woo, for obvious reasons, isn't willing to let his story be publicized.
It doesn't look like Ha Min will give up anytime soon, but Ba Woo is just as firm in his position. Will these two actually end up working together on a webtoon about unrequited love based on the real life of Ba Woo? That'll be interesting.
2. Ji Min Seo playing Jeong Ha Min
All the actors and actresses are already giving stellar performances, but after the first few episodes, someone in particular stands out: the quirky and totally hilarious Ha Min. He might seem like he's in his own world, but heck, he's so lovable.
Ha Min is an unapologetic, eccentric guy who is extremely confident in himself, and his character is a breath of fresh air. It's so fun to watch him interact with Ba Woo, who is the complete opposite: quiet, reserved, and no-nonsense.
3. The 1-week dating agreement
What can go wrong with a dating agreement for one week between two friends without a mutual understanding of each other's feelings? Probably a lot.
After harboring secret feelings for Jee Hoon for so long, by college, Ba Woo has had enough with Jee Hoon carelessly swaying his heart. Ba Woo's new goal is to cut ties and move on, which is easier said than done.
Despite his attempts, Ba Woo hasn't had any luck pushing Jee Hoon away. They've not only been close since childhood, but Jee Hoon is just so darn optimistic and clingy. Not to mention, totally clueless.
This is when Ba Woo gets some interesting advice from a, ehem, new acquaintance: ask out his crush for one week. In theory, this is meant to make Jee Hoon feel weirded out or confused, or simply say no, and this will be the perfect way to create a distance between the two. Ba Woo would finally be able to move on.
However, Ba Woo gets an unexpected response from Jee Hoon that just might change the course of this story.
If you've seen the classic two-part Japanese BL “Seven Days: Monday – Thursday” and “Seven Days: Friday – Sunday,” this has a similar premise.
4. The potential love triangle
It looks like Ba Woo's unrequited love might soon be replaced by a new sticky situation: a love triangle. Though it isn't yet clear if there will even be a love triangle, it looks like one might be brewing, and it'll be super interesting to watch it play out.
Of course, on one end of this triangle, there's Jee Hoon, who is completely oblivious but nonetheless in Ba Woo's heart.
But what about Ha Min? Since meeting, the two have had quite a few intense moments. Despite being total opposites, there's chemistry between them.
It's a roll of the dice whether Ha Min will act as a relationship guru and help Ba Woo resolve his unrequited love or instead become another potential suitor.
