Published on April 04, 2025 at 04:27 PM

United States of America Secretary of Education Linda McMahon has announced the launch of the Title IX Special Investigation Team.

McMahon disclosed this in a statement on her X account on Friday.

She noted the President Donald Trump administration has been committed to protecting female students and athletes against sex discrimination since inception.

According to McMahon, the team, which comprises attorneys from the Department of Justice, would ensure rapid investigations of sex-based discrimination in the US education sector.

“From day one, the Trump Administration has prioritised enforcing Title IX to protect female students and athletes.

“Today, the US Department of Education and Justice Department are announcing the Title IX Special Investigations Team to ensure rapid and consistent investigations,” she stated.

McMahon stated that the team will benefit women and girls across the US.

She added, “To all entities receiving federal funding who continue to allow these illegal practices, we will not permit you to trample on women’s rights any longer.”
