A 14-YEAR-OLD boy has smashed the second-fastest IPL century — from just 35 balls.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi hit an incredible 11 sixes and helped Rajasthan Royals canter to an eight-wicket victory over Gujarat Titans.

Ten days ago he hoisted a six off the first delivery he faced in the IPL and now, in only his third match, he has rewritten history.

He stands behind only Windies slugger Chris Gayle, who produced a 30-ball hundred in 2013.

Indian Suryavanshi was born on March 27, 2011 — meaning he was just 14 years and 32 days when he batted yesterday and is now the youngest centurion in men’s T20 cricket.

His pyrotechnics included30 runs in an over from medium-pacer Karim Janat before he was eventually bowled for 101 from 38 balls.

England’s Jos Buttler had the best view as Gujarat’s wicketkeeper. Buttler earlier scored 50 not out from 26 balls but was completely overshadowed.

Suryavanshi’s opening partner Yashasvi Jaiswal, 23 — who scored two Test double-centuries against England last year — said: “It was an incredible innings, one of the best I’ve seen.

“I hope Vaibhav can keep doing this stuff for a long time.

“He played some amazing shots. He practises very hard — he has the game and the temperament.”;

Suryavanshi plays first-class cricket for Bihar in eastern India.

He made his debut aged 12 in January 2024before Royals signed him at last year’s auction for £103,789.
