THIS is the moment a Vauxhall Corsa is engulfed by a massive fireball in the middle of a street, as crews desperately tackle the blaze.
The car burst into flames at around 6pm on Saturday in London – as locals watched on in horror.
The driver was in the car, waiting at a set of traffic lights, when the fire started and had to be alerted by a passer-by, according to eyewitness reports.
Firefighters raced to the scene to douse the flames – and the fire was put out within just ten minutes.
Luckily, no one was hurt.
The 2013 Corsa Limited Edition caught fire on Fairlop Road, near Leytonstone tube station, east London.
Femi Hassan filmed the fire on his mobile phone.
Members of the public applauded the fire services' quick response.
Tanny said, “The kids cheering when the fireman took out the fire makes this video wholesome.”;
Sammy said: “All first responders are so cool when they do their jobs and so casual.”;
Another added: “The kids cheering made me smile. Firefighters deserve applause.”;
One stated: “They didn’t mess around. They pulled up and put that fire out so quickly.”;
A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Firefighters were called to reports of a car alight on Fairlop Road in Leytonstone.
“Crews extinguished the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
“Control Officers took the first of seven calls at 6:08 pm on 22 March and mobilised one fire engine from Leytonstone Fire Station to the scene.
“The incident was over for firefighters at 6:18 pm.”
