We won’t tolerate insecurity – Governor Idris tells Kebbi residents

Published on April 15, 2025 at 07:08 AM

Kebbi State Government, under the leadership of Dr. Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, has taken significant steps to enhance security across the state.

To support ongoing efforts under Operation Flush, the government has provided security assets, including new patrol vehicles and a fleet of motorcycles.

Governor Idris, who personally oversaw the distribution of the logistics, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to securing the lives and property of Kebbi citizens.

“We will not tolerate insecurity; everyone must live in peace,” the governor declared.

The newly deployed patrol vehicles, clearly marked “Kebbi State Govt. Operation Flush,”; along with the motorcycles, are aimed at improving the mobility of security personnel and local vigilantes.

This will be especially beneficial in reaching hard-to-access communities plagued by criminal activities.

Governor Idris also urged residents to cooperate with security operatives by providing timely and accurate information to help flush out criminal elements from their communities.

“Community collaboration is vital for this strategy to succeed,”; said Yakubu Ahmed, Commissioner for Information and Culture.

He emphasized that the vehicles and motorcycles are part of a broader initiative to enhance response times and increase the presence of law enforcement in vulnerable areas.

The motorcycles are designed to provide quick movement in rural and difficult terrains, while the patrol vehicles will assist with coordinated surveillance and patrols in hotspot zones.
