Experts have revealed how to get rid of gravel weeds

But you don’t have to fork out on expensive products to get rid of them, as fans have revealed a simple two-ingredient hack that they claim will make stubborn gravel weeds disappear.

Even better, they say it works in less than 24 hours.

George Davis Turf, who is known as @georgedaviesturf on Instagram, shared a simple and super cheap hack for dealing with these stubborn invaders.

They recommend mixing rock salt with water in a bottle and spraying it over your gravel.

This mixture acts as a natural attacker that gets directly to the root, causing the weeds to dehydrate and wither away.

However, experts have warned that although rock salt can be effective, it doesn’t differentiate between your plants and weeds, so ensure the salt water does not come into contact with your plants.

They recommend: “Use it well away from your garden when rain can't spread the salt to your grass.”

And that's not the only hack you can use on weeds in your garden.

There is a clever method, which costs less than £1, and has been praised for it's effectiveness.

A user, known as @Lovelello, suggested using a wire brush to scrub away stubborn weeds from outdoor spaces.

Once the weeds , she recommended pouring boiling water over the area to prevent them from growing back.

Wire brushes are a handy household tool that can be purchased for as little as 79p from and other major retailers.

This simple approach offers a cost-effective alternative to expensive weed-killing products.
