We’ll hit until you’re no longer a threat – Trump to Iran-backed Houthis

Published on April 05, 2025 at 12:09 PM

President Donald Trump of the United States, US, has threatened to continue attacking Iran-backed Houthi terrorist group.

Trump said the US military will continue attacking Houthis until they stop shooting at American ships and are no longer a threat to freedom of navigation.

Posting on X, Trump warned that Houthis and their sponsors just started because more members and leaders of the terrorist group will die.

He wrote: “The Iran-backed Houthi Terrorists have been decimated by the relentless strikes over the past two weeks. We hit them every day and night — Harder and harder.

“Their capabilities that threaten Shipping and the Region are rapidly being destroyed. Our attacks will continue until they are no longer a threat to Freedom of Navigation.

“The choice for the Houthis is clear: Stop shooting at US ships, and we will stop shooting at you.

“Otherwise, we have only just begun, and the real pain is yet to come, for both the Houthis and their sponsors in Iran.”

This comes after Houthis rebels in Yemen shot down another US MQ-9 Reaper drone.

According to the Congressional Research Service, the drones cost approximately $30 million each.

This is the third such drone the rebels have shot down since March 3 and the second shot down since the US started conducting daily strikes.
