Moment hotel boss chucks water over drunk man snoozing in her front garden – and why she thinks she’s in the right

THIS is the moment a hotel boss threw water over a drunk man snoozing in her front garden.

Lisa Bell, owner of the Regency Hotel in , has divided after she was caught chucking water on a drunk man sleeping in the hotel's front garden.

After several attempts to shake the snoozing man awake, Lisa said she had no other choice but to pour the icy water over him.

Footage of the event was caught on , showing the drunk man curled up and snoozing in the sun.

Carrying a large bucket, the video shows Lisa dumping its contents onto the man who awakes seemingly unfazed by his soaking.

He lifts his head, looking somewhat bewildered, before being asked to vacate the area.

The incident has prompted some condemnation from the public who believe the man should have been left to snooze in peace.

One man insisted she should have “let the man .”

Another added: “We had a homeless man sleep on our street one cold evening. I took him a coffee and something to eat.”;

However, others saw the funny side, with one person commenting: “I love it!”;, and another calling the moment “brilliant.”;

Lisa also defended her actions, adding that she was expecting hotel guests at any minute and didn't want their children to see the dozing man.

She said: “He was extremely drunk and I couldn’t wake him up.”

“I had a family with young children due to arrive any minute.

“It wouldn’t have been a great first impression, seeing him outside.

“He took it well and it worked.”;
