England striker, Marcus Rashford has claimed that his team would play even better in the knockout stage after qualifying for the Round of 16.
Rashford said this after scoring a brace in England’s World Cup 3-0 win over Wales on Tuesday.
Recall that England defeated Wales in their final Group B tie, thanks to two goals from Rashford and a strike from Phil Foden.
England will now face Senegal in the last-16 on Sunday.
“Moments like this, this is what I play football for, biggest moments, the best moments,”; Rashford told the BBC.
“I’m really happy today, I’m really happy that we’re going through to the next round of the tournament.
“Hopefully, we can build on this performance because I still have massive ambition for this team and I think we can play even better than what we showed tonight.”;
