Members of the RMT union are planning to walk out this Friday and Saturday in protest against jobs, pay and conditions.

Darts fans face travel chaos for the World Darts ChampionshipTrain strikes and freezing weather will spell travel misery for puntersThis would mean cancellation of many services and a drastic reduction of others.

There will be only ONE train from Alexandra Palace train station back to London after 6pm on both days.

The PDC have stressed that punters – many of whom will be arriving in fancy dress – should consult the Great Northern website for amended timetables.

The governing body say there is sufficient parking spots for those going by car.

And Wood Green underground station is a short bus-ride away.

There are no plans by the PDC for refunds if anyone is left stranded by the lack of trains.

Ally Pally first started hosting the World Darts Championship in 2008 and the arena has a capacity just over 3,000.

Meanwhile, Fallon Sherrock reckons live darts can lift the mood of the nation after England’s World Cup exit at the hands of France in the quarter-finals.
