With the drama’s recent conclusion, the main cast members of “Heo’s Diner”; have shared their heartfelt closing remarks!
Based on a web novel, “Heo’s Diner”; is a fantasy rom-com that follows Heo Gyun (EXO’s Xiumin), a figure from the Joseon era, who unexpectedly travels 400 years into the present time and begins running a restaurant.
Reflecting on the experience, Xiumin said, “While the show was airing, many memories from filming came flooding back, and I once again realized how happy I was during those moments. This project has taught me more than any other during my growth as an actor, and I will never forget it. I am truly grateful to viewers and hope they all enjoyed it.”; He then ended with a witty remark, quoting Heo Gyun’s line, “Happiness is self-made!”;
WJSN's Chu So Jung who portrayed Bong Eun Sil, the daughter of a homestyle restaurant owner, said, “For Eun Sil, [saying goodbye to] the place called ‘Heo’s Diner’ feels like parting from the place where she felt most complete. As much as it saddens me, there’s also excitement for a new beginning, now that I’ve become stronger. Living as Eun Sil gave me courage and happiness.”;
Lee Sae On, who played dual roles as Lee Yi Chum from the Joseon era and Lee Hyuk in the present day, expressed his affection for the drama and his characters. He remarked, “When a project comes to an end, there’s always a mix of joy and lingering sadness. This was a precious project that came to me like a ray of light during a period when I had many concerns about my acting career. It gave me the strength and courage to keep going and take another step forward. I will continue to grow and return with greater improvement.”;
Lee Soo Min, who portrayed both Mae Chang and Jung Mi Sol, shared, “‘Heo’s Diner’ was a meaningful project that came to me like much-needed rain when I was thirsty for new acting challenges. Though I’m sad it’s over, I’m deeply grateful to everyone who showed their love. I will continue to work hard and return with even better projects in the future.”
