Insecurity: Be watchful, fish out bad eggs among you – CAN tells faithful in Kaduna

The Kaduna State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has called on its faithful to be watchful to fish out bad eggs in their communities to ensure sanity and peaceful coexistence in the state.

It's chairman, Rev. Ma'aji Caleb, made the call when clerymen from the TEKAN/ECWA bloc of CAN, Kaduna State paid him a courtesy visit.

He admonished them saying, “when you see something, say something in order to fish out bad eggs in our society. It is our duty to be watchful and vigilante in ensuring that people live in peace to able to undertake their legitimate businesses.”

He assured that Christians in the state would continue to work in collaboration with the state government towards ensuring bad eggs are fished out for the overall progress and development of the state.

According to him, “We are trying our best as leaders of the christian faith to encourage our people to be law abiding and be watchful against some few individuals who are out to destabilise the existing peace that the present administration in the state is trying maintain and to carry sections of the state along in all its programmes.”

He added, “As Church leaders, we must be seen to be honest and straightforward in all our dealings by telling the followers the truth about every situation in order to get the best result from every individual. We should continue to partner with those in authority in order to ensure a peaceful, united and progressive society that will enable all to go about their normal way of life.”

Earlier, the leader of the TEKAN/ECWA bloc of CAN, Elder Ejoka Enalegwu, said they visited the office of the state CAN to identify with the state chairman of CAN who is one of them, to pray for him and encourage him to lead in accordance with the teachings of the Holy scriptures for the success of the church, state and the country at large.
