IT’S little wonder James Blunt still loves singing old songs like You’re Beautiful after all these years – as they are raking in a fortune.

Accounts for the singer-songwriter have revealed he made more than £5,000 a day in the 12 months up to March 31 2024.

Documents filed at Companies House for his pop firm James Blunt Limited report a profit of £1.9million over the year.

He set the business up in 2021 to funnel his music earnings through, and it now has assets of £8.8million after factoring in a £1.2million tax bill.

He toured for much of last year and recently completed the European leg of his Back To Bedlam 20th anniversary tour, ahead of shows in North and South America,, Australia and New Zealand later in the year.

With all those gigs still to come, his next set of accounts will be even more impressive.

LOLA YOUNG and The Streets will be among acts performing at the 30th annual Meltdown festival at London’s Southbank Centre.

Little Simz has curated the line-up for the event, and will play a one-off orchestral show.

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday for the series, which runs from June 12 to 22 and also features Jon Batiste and Ghetts.

BIG TIME BEKONS FOR BINO

BINO BAMES is a name to watch this year.

The American teen has been signed by music supremo Sarah Stennett – who helped make the careers of singers including Ellie Goulding and Jessie J – and has just dropped his single Cocktail Princess.

Bino, real name Gino James Rayos, was raised in Sin City and left home at 15 to hone his craft as a musician.

He said: “I’m third-generation Las Vegas. It’s rare people are actually from there. Growing up there gave me a huge appreciation for showmanship, but it also showed me how to survive.

“Billion-dollar casinos surrounded by poverty and addiction, that contrast defines who I am.

If I could survive Vegas, I can survive anything.”;

DAN OSBORNE’s love life might be in turmoil, but he looked in good spirits on the football pitch.

He let off steam in the Sellebrity Soccer charity game at Kettering Town FC at the weekend, after it was revealed he told pals he no longer loves his wife, EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa.

DURAN DURAN NICK: IDEA MAKES SCENTS

ROCK usually smells like sweat and stale beer – but Duran Duran are changing that by releasing two perfumes.

They have teamed up with Italian scent-maker Xerjoff to create two unisex fragrances, called Black Moonlight and NeoRio.

Keyboardist Nick Rhodes said: “As a band, we have always been interested in arousing people’s senses, primarily through sound and vision.

“The notion of engaging an additional sense in our universe was hugely appealing. During the creation of these perfumes, we realised we were striving to achieve similar criteria as we do when writing songs, aiming for something seductive, unique irresistible.”;

Something new from Miley

MILEY CYRUS has announced her return with a new album called Something Beautiful.

The singer, whose last record Endless Summer Vacation spawned the mega-hit Flowers in 2023, will drop the record on May 30 and it will feature 13 tracks.

But it might not be a return to pop, as she has executive-produced it with Grammy-winning engineer Shawn Everett.

He has worked with edgy acts such as The War on Drugs, Phoebe Bridgers and Kacey Musgraves.

GLASTO BLASTO FOR DRAGONS

WE are already planning our Glastonbury wardrobes and I’ve got my nose pegs ready for those disgusting long-drop loos.

But it’s not just us who are feeling excited about going back to Worthy Farm, as Imagine Dragons’ Wayne Sermon says their 2014 set at the festival was the best experience of their career.

The guitarist reveals in an exclusive interview: “Glastonbury was absolutely insane.

“I don’t think people in the US understand what a festival means.

“You guys do festivals so much bigger and so much more epic than anywhere in the States.

“It just feels very raw and authentic, whereas, like not to name any specific US festivals, but they feel more like a social event.

“During our Glastonbury set it was raining like mad.

“Everyone just gets their wellies on and goes for it.

“Some of the best memories as a band are playing festivals in the UK.”;

The band are coming to the big screen next week, with their concert film Imagine Dragons: Live From The Hollywood Bowl in cinemas next Wednesday and Saturday.

The concert saw the band performing alongside a 50-strong orchestra, and Wayne said with a laugh: “In rare form, we actually were very prepared for that show.”;

It’s a big mac for Kendall

COULD Kendall Jenner's next career move be as an undercover cop?

The reality star, model and businesswoman looked just like kids’ cartoon character Inspector Gadget in this mac and sunglasses while out in Paris.

And given she has turned her hand to so many other things, perhaps she reckons she could follow in his footsteps.

Kendall is in the French capital after flying over to shoot an advert for L’Oreal.

She was joined on set by Bridgerton’s Simone Ashley.

On second thoughts, Kendall’s probably better off sticking to her day job.

I bet she’s getting paid far more for that than any inspector would make in a year.
