Jamie Laing breaks down in tears as his eye watering Comic Relief fundraising total is revealed

Emotional Jamie Laing says his 'body is broken' as he faces grueling final leg of Comic Relief Ultra Marathon

JAMIE LAING was joined by his very own runaway bride Greg James as he completed his 150 mile ultra-marathon for Comic Relief yesterday.

The Radio 1 DJ fought through the most intense physical and emotional pain to run from London to Salford – with Jamie breaking down in tears after learning he’d raised more than £2million so far.

Jamie was left in agony during the gruelling run, but felt it was all worth it after seeing the money he has raised

Despite his agony, Jamie spoke to me every day during his challenge and told me it was the thought of helping people which pushed him on through the pain.

His pal Greg said he would run in a bridal gown on the final leg with Jamie if he made it past the £500,000 mark – and Jamie more than nailed that.

Speaking as they ran together, Greg said he was astounded Jamie could keep going – especially as he was averaging around four miles an hour.

“The whole thing feels like a fever dream,”; Greg said yesterday.

“I’m currently running with him, at his pace, which I’ve got to say is really amazing. Genuinely.

“I’m with the couple of guys here who he’s running with, proper long-distance runners looking after him on the road.

“And they’ve said they’ve not seen anything like it, for a non-runner to immediately fall into that sort of speed is crazy. He’s on one.”;

Hundreds of well-wishers lined the streets of Salford as Jamie arrived last night – and he was in floods of tears as he crossed the finish line.

As well as being greeted by his Radio 1 Drivetime co-host Vick Hope, Jamie’s wife Sophie Habboo was also waiting for him.

He told me: “I cannot believe how much support I’ve had. It’s been brutal.

“I am broken. Thank you for all your support, we’ve gone from London to Manchester.

“I never want to see a hill again.”;

Jamie added: “That was a wild ride everyone. That was intense at times.

“That was emotional. I’ve never cried more in my life.”;

He’ll be on cloud nine too now it’s all over. Jamie, I salute you.

If you can spare a quid or two, you can still get behind Jamie and donate at comicrelief.com/ultra.

Aurora lights up TV drama

ADOLESCENCE is the biggest show on Netflix this year, with young actor Owen Cooper as schoolboy Jamie Miller looking set to be a huge star of the future.

But he isn’t the only name getting noticed in Stephen Graham’s drama series.

Insiders told me that the show has given a big boost to Norwegian singer Aurora, after her song Through The Eyes Of A Child was used in the final scenes.

In the first days of the show’s release the song was Shazammed more than 100,000 times.

Aurora, whose song appeared on her 2016 debut album All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend, said: “It’s a strange and wonderful thing to see people connecting with this song.

“The world around me has changed so much since I wrote it.

“And now the words mean a lot more to me.”;

England striker Harry Kane has put his prized white Bentley Continental up for sale

HARRY KANE helped England take on Albania on the long road to World Cup glory last night – but now it could be your turn to be in the driver’s seat.

I can reveal he has put his prized white Bentley Continental up for sale. The posh motor, which has 25,400 miles on the clock, could be yours for £70k, or £1,790 a month.

Harry bought the car in 2017 and if I had a spare fortune I’d snap it up. But alas I’ll have to stick with my fella’s humble Transit van.

Twigs legs it

Singer FKA Twigs wore thigh high boots to attend a showbiz bash in London

FKA TWIGS strides out without trousers as she attends a showbiz bash in London.

The singer wore an oversized hoodie and thigh-high boots to a magazine launch on Thursday.

Twigs also opened up on why she decided to get Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s daughter North to feature on her song, Childlike Things.

In a video posted online, she said she originally wrote the lyrics some 25 years ago, when she was 12, and wanted a child’s perspective on the track – so brought in North, 11, to finish it.

She added: “We’ve collaborated through time . . .  It’s so meta and it’s so beautiful and I think that’s what I love about music and art.”;

Cian: I wrote 100 songs for album

Cian Ducrot says he has written 100 songs for his second album, and had to narrow it down

IRISH breakout star Cian Ducrot has announced his second album, Little Dreaming – after writing 100 songs for the record.

The title track for the album, which is set to be released on July 11, came out yesterday.

Speaking to Flying Eze, Cian, said: “When I wrote my first album, I wrote 16 songs and 14 of them went on the album.

“To write this album, I was like, I want it to be better, so I wanted to write 100 songs.

“Turns out that’s kind of annoying because it makes it really hard to pick what should go on the album, because they’re obviously all smashes, because I only write really good songs.

“The upside is I never need to write another song again because I’ve basically written the next seven albums.

“So I’m basically out of my record deal, so that’s cool.”;

Cian will also hit the road for a tour across the UK and Europe from September to December.

His powerful voice makes him well worth the ticket.
