Jade Goody’s ex Jeff Brazier launches legal bid to stop son Freddy from seeing gran amid fears about model’s drug use

TV star Jeff Brazier has launched legal action to stop son Freddy from seeing his maternal grandmother.

The drastic move comes amid fears about drug use by model Freddy Brazier, whose mum Jade Goody died 16 years ago yesterday.

The 20-year-old regularly stays with Jade’s mum Jackiey Budden and has posted a TikTok video of himself taking drugs at her flat in South East London.

He also shared a recent clip of her telling him: “Do you hear me?

“Don’t f****ing do it no more, don’t Fred, Please don’t.

“Don’t f***ing talk to me like you talk outside, if that’s the case f* off. Yeah f* off.”;

We can reveal Jeff, 45, started legal proceedings last year in a bid to block contact between Freddy and Jackiey, 68.

And he has hired a barrister ahead of an upcoming hearing.

Freddy was four and his brother, EastEnders actor Bobby, five, when Jade died of cervical cancer at 27 in 2009.

A source close to the Brazier family said: “This is something Jeff and anyone who cares about Freddy hopes will help keep him safe from a relationship that has been incredibly detrimental to his wellbeing for a long time now.

“The fact that Jeff is going down this route shows how concerned we all are, and how our efforts to keep Fred safe are being grossly undermined by other people.’’

Jeff and Freddy starred in last year’s BBC1 hit Celebrity Race Across The World which saw them bond while travelling across South America.

During the show, Freddy spoke openly about his challenges with mental health and his relationship with his father who has brought him up since losing his mum.

Freddy said on the programme: “At times where I’ve pushed him away he has pulled even harder to pull me back in.

“I don’t think I praise my dad enough for everything he has done for me but he knows the love.”;

Last week Jeff shared snaps on Instagram of him and Freddy enjoying a meditation retreat in Essex.

Londoner Jade became one of the UK’s first major reality stars after shooting to fame as a contestant on the third series of C4’s Big Brother in 2002.

Following her eviction she went on to star in her own shows such as What Jade Did Next, Celebrity Driving School and Jade’s Salon.

She dated former footballer Jeff from 2002-2004.

After her death, Jeff raised the boys while forging a successful career on Finders Keepers, as a showbiz presenter on This Morning, and hosting TNT Sport’s football coverage.
