The Jigawa State Ministry of Basic Education has announced that both public and private schools across the state will resume on Monday, 14 April 2025, for the commencement of the third term of the 2024/2025 academic session.
This was disclosed by the Commissioner for Basic Education, Dr. Lawan Yunusa Danzomo.
Dr. Danzomo stated that boarding students are expected to resume on Sunday, 13 April, while day students will return to school on Monday, 14 April.
He emphasised that normal academic activities will begin immediately upon resumption.
The commissioner appealed to parents and guardians to ensure their wards return to school on the scheduled date, assuring them that the ministry has made adequate preparations, including the provision of necessary teaching aids to enhance effective teaching and learning.
He further urged teachers to report to their duty posts promptly and commence lessons without delay, adding that the ministry has deployed monitoring teams to schools across the state to ensure compliance.
