A NEW quiz claims your choice of footwear could reveal your true personality — from bold biker boots to playful summer wedges.

A new quiz claims the you wear reveals key parts of your personality, with behavioural psychologist Jo Hemmings saying our soles can speak volumes.

From chilled-out sandals to bold block heels, every pair gives off a vibe – and it could help or hinder your first impression.

Jo said: “People's choice of footwear is often a sneaky but revealing psychological signal.

“We unconsciously or consciously make snap judgments about personality, wealth, habits and even romantic potential based on someone’s shoes.”;

Flats often show someone is laid-back and free-spirited, while high heels suggest confidence and power.

Meanwhile, pumps give off grace, biker boots hint at loyalty and statement heels can show sass and edge.

The research, commissioned by footwear giant Deichmann, found that 93% of people believe first impressions matter and shoes play a big part.

In fact, nearly four in ten Brits say the cleanliness of shoes is the first thing they notice, followed by whether they suit the outfit and if they’re right for the occasion.

It also found that many people still believe classic shoe stereotypes, like trainers suggesting a chilled attitude or smart shoes making someone look more successful.

Jo revealed that while some people think high heels are a sign of style over substance, the truth is very different.

“We can put those outdated views to bed, high heel wearers can be just as smart, driven and sharp as anyone else.”;
