Brazil are in search of a new manager after sacking Dorvial Junior last month.
He lasted just 14 months in the dugout after winning just seven out of 16 matches in charge.
Ancelotti was linked before Dorvial's appointment but his contract situation at prevented talks from progressing, with the Italian tied down to the Bernabeu until summer 2026.
Jesus is another favourite for the job but he will take to the this summer.
