Kang Ha Neul has shared his thoughts on his upcoming drama “Tastefully Yours”;!
“Tastefully Yours”; is a romance drama about chaebol heir Han Beom Woo (Kang Ha Neul) and stubborn chef Mo Yeon Joo (Go Min Si), who have different backgrounds and philosophies about food. The two of them wind up running a small restaurant together in Jeonju, where they grow and fall in love.
On why he chose to star in the drama, Kang Ha Neul revealed, “I’m happy to greet viewers through a drama again after a long time. When I read the script for ‘Tastefully Yours,’ the compelling story and plot were so captivating that I finished it in one sitting. That’s what made me decide to star in the drama.”;
He continued, “We’ve seen many chaebol characters in past dramas, but I wanted to portray Beom Woo differently. He’s clumsy in some ways, but also very proud. I tried to show that contrast. The script and the character were both fun and well-structured, so I thought a lot about how to make them more engaging for viewers.”;
About his character, Kang Ha Neul remarked, “If I had to compare Han Beom Woo to a food, I’d say he’s like bracken. Bracken is tasty on its own, but when added to dishes like bibimbap, it enhances the overall flavor. If ‘Tastefully Yours’ were bibimbap, then the other ingredients would be the actors I worked with.”;
He also praised the cast’s teamwork and expressed his gratitude by saying, “Even though I felt tired on the way to the set each morning, just thinking about seeing my co-stars made me smile and lifted my mood. Everyone worked hard to figure out how to make the drama enjoyable for viewers.”;
Finally, Kang Ha Neul shared, “I hope ‘Tastefully Yours’ becomes the kind of drama that people think about before bed and fall asleep to.”;
“Tastefully Yours”; will premiere on May 12 at 10 p.m. KST.
