Kathryn Hahn Is Joining The “Knives Out” Sequel

Published on May 15, 2021 at 01:51 AM

Deadline reports that Kathryn Hahn will appear in Knives Out 2. She'll join new cast members Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, and Janelle Monae. Damn, it's like they're picking these names out of a bag of random Hollywood actors. Who's next? Haley Joel Osment? Lucy Liu? The bear from The Revenant? This ragtag group of newbies will join Daniel Craig, who's getting big bucks to reprise his role as the southern detective who kinda sounds like Kevin Spacey in House of Cards. Oo, this just in! Knives Out 2 has added Kevin Spacey! Ha. No.

Rian Johnson will return to write and direct the first follow-up film to Knives Out, along with his producing partner Ram Bergman. A third film is also in the works. In March Netflix bought the rights to both movies for a cool $400 million. via Deadline:

Plot details are unknown at this time other than Craig returning to solve another mystery revolving a large cast of suspects. It is also unknown who Monae will be playing in the pic. Production is set to start this summer in Greece.

We also don't have any details on who Kathryn will play, but her career is in a big ol' upswing. Obviously, she was the best part of WandaVision (that fucking Agatha All Along song has yet to worm itself outta my ears), critics raved about her performance in HBO's I Know This Much Is True, and she'll star in the upcoming Apple series The Shrink Next Door. That show will reunite her with her My Idiot Brother/Wanderlust/How Do You Know/Anchorman co-star Paul Rudd and her Anchorman/Step Brothers co-star Will Ferrell. Also, I really liked her in Mrs. Fletcher. And I Love Dick. It's Kathryn Hahn's world, kiddos. We're just livin' in it.

And just for shits, here's Agatha All Along in nine different languages. Please, someone Eternal Sunshine this from my brain!
