She told Paper mag: “I really identify with people that alchemise the fight for human rights.

“I will not lay down or be quiet about human rights, and as someone who had her freedoms taken away and fought like hell to get them back, I will echo that through my work until the day I die.”;

“And I’m also on the Mathematics tour until the first week of September, and I didn’t want to drop the next album while on the last tour.

“So I’m going to wait until the tour is done and it’ll be finished for about three days and then the record will come out.”;

I’ll mark Friday, September 12, in my diary then.

ABI: THE ALBUM I MADE ON DEATH BED

GUY’S GEAR NOT SO DEAR

COLDPLAY bassist Guy Berryman, has been making a small fortune from his Applied Art Form clothing brand.

And it’s hardly surprising, given the jackets cost upwards of £800 and T-shirts sell for £170 a pop.

But now the rocker is aiming to give something back to his fans, by bringing out a more affordable range after admitting he felt bad that none of we regular folk have the money to buy anything.

Guy said: “The most common feedback I get from people who have discovered the brand is that they can’t afford it.

“We’re not the most expensive out there but it’s not a price point that’s accessible to everybody.

“I’ve been carrying that around for such a long time and I just kind of felt, ‘Well, this isn’t cool’.

“I want more people to engage with the brand. We have a slightly different strategy coming up.”;

Hopefully that involves lopping at least 50 per cent off.

JENNIE’S ON DOWN LOW

HAVING shot up the charts last month, K-pop star Jennie has put her best foot forward for a magazine cover shoot.

“I’ve unlocked parts of my creativity that I didn’t know I had.

“This all feels like I’m opening the curtains of a play.

“As clichéd as it sounds, it really does feel like the beginning.”;

Abi made the album eight years ago to give her hope as she battled cancer.

Opening up about the record at a Cancer Awareness Trust and Evamore Music event in East London, Abi said: “I made this album on my death bed.

“I literally had a 21cm tumour when I made it.

“But I just had a level of hope and faith that I could make this album and one day people would hear it. That helped see me through.

“Bringing out this album is for me really. It’s been healing for me.

“When I had cancer I recorded a bunch of top lines for a friend and hooks, and I didn’t know at the time but they had found their way into dance tracks around the world.

“For the past six years or so they have been played all over and people have felt hope and optimism with them.

“The power of sound and music always continues to blow me away.”;
