KSI’s Sidemen star Tobi Brown and Youtuber Manny Brown in Crawley training ahead of FA Cup tie against Accrington

CRAWLEY have released pictures of Sidemen star Tobi Brown following his training session with the club.

The League Two side announced last week they would be giving trials to Tobi and his brothers Manny and Jed Brown with a view to appearing in their FA Cup clash against Accrington on November 5.

And following the session on Tuesday, the club have released snaps of them in training.

Tobi, also known as “TBJZL”, was put through his paces in hopes of impressing and making his FA Cup debut this weekend.

In an interview with Sky Sports he and his brother admitted the training was a step up.

The Sidemen star said: “(They have) much quicker pace. Much sharper as well than us, but that’s to be expected when you train everyday.

“The fitness was a big factor as well because I was blowing, I was breathing heavy. You know I haven’t played football in two-and-a-half months.

“These lot (his brothers) were a bit more fit than me because they play a bit more regularly but the level of fitness these boys have and the professionalism they show is crazy.

“And the best thing about it is they made us feel at home as well… lovely bunch of guys honestly, I can’t speak higher of them.”

Crawley sent scouts to watch the “Sidemen Charity Match” in September where Tobi and Manny starred – combining for three of the eight goals team Sidemen scored during the 8-7 thriller.

The match itself had a peak viewing figure of 2.5million on YouTube, on top of selling out Charlton Athletic’s stadium The Valley.

Ahead of the trial Tobi, who has almost 5m subscribers on YouTube and followings of 3.9m and 2.7m on Instagram and Twitter respectively, called for “everyone to chill” after backlash following the announcement.

He said: “Everyone needs to chill though I’m just gonna join in with a training session.

“I (have) been a football fan my whole life, I know the importance of the FA Cup to players and fans alike so not trying to jeopardize that for anyone.

“Just putting more eyes on the club and showing support.”

If the 29-year-old has impressed interim head coach Lewis Young and the rest of his coaching team, then he may get a cameo off the bench for this weekend’s FA Cup clash.

The Sidemen group is made up of seven members and is Europe’s largest YouTube collective, with the largest member KSI a pioneer for the rise of YouTube boxing.
