Judges at federal high courts in Lagos State are scheduled to commence a two-week Easter recess beginning April 16.

This was confirmed on Sunday by the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice John Tsoho, who stated that the vacation will conclude on April 28, with court sittings set to resume on April 29.

Justice Tsoho noted that the break is in accordance with the provisions of Order 46, Rule 4(C) of the Federal High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules, 2019 (as amended).

The CJ added, “During the holiday duration, the Lagos Judicial Divisions would remain open to the public only for cases of extreme urgency.

“It is important to note that during the vacation, only matters relating to enforcement of fundamental rights; arrest or release of vessels and matters that concern dire national interest are to be entertained by vacation judges,”; he concluded.
